£. 735 total [could be more, if you include the time I spent in modifying it]
Asking £. 450 cash in hand
I might accept reasonable offers – no time wasters please [really!]
I would prefer to keep it or give it to charity …
I am really sorry to let this go, as it is a good all around powerful telescope – I just cannot keep it – not enough space and getting too heavy for me [I am older!].
Asking £. 450 cash in hand – this is a WELL kept telescope – mirrors as new – you pick it up – do not have a decent box + padding for sending and it would also cost too much.
I do have original boxes for Finder scope and 2″ eyepiece and BOTH mirrors are in PERFECT condition – no erosion – I keep my gear as best as I can!
There are a few scratches on external body even a careful handler like me could not avoid!
Reason for selling it: I do not use it very much as I have other telescopes + I am getting older and it is starting to get too heavy for me and not much room left!
You can setup an EQ6 and enjoy it – where I am – I am tight in space and do not have a shed – not even the space for it!
If you are a good DIYer, I wonder if one could shorten the Focal Length from 1200mm (F/4.7 ) to 1000mm and take it down to F3.9 and officially becomes an Astrograph
Here is an example to shorten it by 50mm ( 2″ ) to help a DSLR to focus
